The Tax Cut

Legal

Terms of use

Last updated 22 July 2026

Before publishing: replace every bracketed placeholder below with your real legal details, and have the result reviewed by a qualified professional in your jurisdiction. This is a drafting starting point written by a software tool, not legal advice.

1. Who you are dealing with

This website and The Tax Cut Pro (together, the "Service") are operated by [LEGAL NAME OF YOUR BUSINESS], [LEGAL FORM, e.g. micro-entreprise / SASU], registered at [REGISTERED ADDRESS], registration number [SIREN / COMPANY NUMBER], VAT number [VAT NUMBER, or "not VAT registered"]. Contact: hello@thetaxcut.com.

We are the seller. Your purchase contract is with us. Card payments — including Apple Pay and Google Pay — are processed by Stripe acting as our payment processor; we never receive or store your card details. Stripe's own terms govern the handling of the payment instrument itself.

Applicable VAT or sales tax is shown at checkout and charged in addition to the listed price where it is due.

2. What the Service is

The Service is an informational calculator. It applies published and observed platform fee schedules to figures that you enter, and displays the result. It is a research and comparison tool.

3. What the Service is not

The Service does not provide financial, investment, tax, accounting, legal or business advice, and nothing in it should be treated as a recommendation to start, continue or abandon any business. It does not know your circumstances. Figures shown are pre-tax and exclude income tax, self-employment tax, corporation tax, VAT and sales tax entirely.

Outputs depend on inputs you supply, including assumptions about volume, ramp and advertising that the Service cannot verify. Any projection is an illustration of your own assumptions, not a forecast.

4. Accuracy, and its limits

Fee data is compiled from platform fee schedules and, where stated, from real payout statements. Every figure carries an evidence grade and the date it was last checked. Platform fees change without notice. We do not warrant that any figure is current, complete or accurate at the moment you read it, and you should verify anything material against the platform's own published schedule, which is linked from each line.

5. Your licence and your account

On purchase you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use The Tax Cut Pro. You may use it for your own business purposes, including on behalf of clients. You may not resell, sublicense, redistribute or publish the fee database as a dataset, nor share your account credentials, nor use the Service to build a competing product.

Access to Pro is attached to the account created at checkout. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential. Accounts showing signs of being shared beyond a single user may be suspended.

Access is not time-limited. Where the Service is described as including future updates, that means updates we choose to publish while the Service continues to operate; it is not a commitment to operate it indefinitely.

6. Refunds

Thirty days, no questions asked. See the refund policy, which forms part of these terms.

7. Availability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of it. If we discontinue the paid Service entirely within twelve months of your purchase, contact us and we will refund you on a pro-rata basis.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue, lost business opportunity, or any indirect or consequential loss, including any business decision taken in reliance on the Service.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to attempt to circumvent the licence gate, scrape the Service systematically, or use it in any way that is unlawful or that interferes with its operation for others.

10. Trademarks

Amazon, Etsy, TikTok, Shopify, Printful, Gumroad, YouTube, Substack, Patreon, Fiverr, Canva, Stripe and all other names used on the Service are trademarks of their respective owners. Their use here is nominative — to identify the platform whose published fees are being described. None of these companies is affiliated with, sponsors or endorses the Service.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page changes when we do. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of [YOUR JURISDICTION, e.g. France], and the courts of [YOUR JURISDICTION] have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you retain the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
