Every marketplace publishes its commission, and every marketplace calculator uses it. None of them include what you spent on advertising to make the sale, what returns cost you, what the subscription costs while you wait, or the surcharges that appear only on a settlement statement and in no public schedule. Before you buy
Where do the numbers come from?
Three places, and each one is labelled on every line. Settlement means the figure was read off a real payout statement in a live seller account. Official means it comes from the platform's own published fee page, linked so you can check it. Published means a rate that is public but has never been cross-checked against a payout. Estimate means it was inferred from limited observation; it is flagged as such wherever it appears, and right now no fee in the database rests on one.
Why are some channels marked as impossible to price?
Because they are. Canva and Skillshare both pay from a royalty pool: the platform sets the pool's size each month and divides it by everyone's usage — Canva by exports, Skillshare by minutes watched — with the weightings unpublished. There is no rate to calculate. Any earnings figure you have seen for either is someone extrapolating from their own account in one month. Showing that honestly is more useful than inventing a number, so the tabs stay and explain themselves.
Is this tax advice?
No, and the name is a description of what platforms take, not of government. Everything here is pre-tax. Income tax, self-employment tax, VAT and sales tax are outside the model entirely — what you see is what reaches your account before any of that. It is a research tool, not accounting or financial advice, and it does not know your circumstances.
Are my numbers sent anywhere?
No. The calculator runs entirely in your browser. Prices, costs, volumes and ad spend are never transmitted, never logged and never stored on any server. The one request the site makes is to ask whether the current visitor has bought Pro — it sends nothing but the session cookie, and none of your figures.
How do I pay, and do I need an account?
Card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card details. Checkout creates an account so that Pro is attached to you rather than to one browser: nothing to paste, and nothing that breaks when you clear your cookies or move to your laptop.
Can I get a refund?
