The calculator sets no cookies at all. The only cookies on this site are the strictly necessary ones the shop needs when you sign in or check out. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Cookies can remember that you are signed in, keep the contents of a cart between pages, and help a site work securely. This Policy explains which cookies AKHIM LLC uses on thetaxcut.com and why, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
The calculator
The calculator itself sets no cookies. It runs entirely in your browser, and nothing you type into it is stored or sent anywhere. You can use the whole free tier without any cookie being set.
Cookies we use
| Cookie | Type | Purpose | Set by |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session & cart | Strictly necessary | When you sign in or buy Pro, the shop remembers who you are and what is in your cart. These are what the site reads to decide whether Pro is unlocked. | Our shop (WooCommerce, this domain) |
| Fraud prevention | Strictly necessary | On the payment step, Stripe may set cookies of its own to detect and prevent fraud. | Stripe |
| Analytics (optional) | Analytics | If we enable Plausible Analytics, it measures page views without cookies and without storing any personal data or IP address. It is off by default. | Plausible (cookieless) |
We use no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, and no third-party marketing cookies. The one third party that receives a request from every visitor is Google Fonts, which serves the site’s typography — this is a network request, not a cookie, and is covered in our Privacy Policy.
How to control cookies
Because the only cookies we set are strictly necessary for a service you actively request (signing in and checking out), there is no consent banner to dismiss for ordinary browsing. You can still block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings — every major browser lets you do this — but blocking the strictly necessary cookies will prevent sign-in and checkout from working.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We do not track you across websites, so a “Do Not Track” signal does not change what we do. Where required by law, we honor a recognized Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as an opt-out request. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Changes
If we change the cookies we use, we will update this Policy and the “Last updated” date above.
