AKHIM LLC is committed to making The Tax Cut usable by as many people as possible, including people who rely on assistive technology.
Our goal
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and we design with the spirit of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in mind. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we work to improve the site over time.
What we do
- Semantic HTML and a logical heading structure so screen readers can navigate the page;
- Keyboard-operable controls, so the calculator can be used without a mouse;
- Text alternatives for meaningful images, and labels on form fields;
- Readable color contrast and text that reflows when you zoom or use a small screen;
- A results view that presents the same information as text, not only as a chart.
Known limitations
Some parts of the Service depend on third parties — for example, the checkout provided by our shop and payment processor. We do not fully control the accessibility of those third-party components, though we choose providers that take accessibility seriously.
Feedback and help
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, or need information from the Service in a different format, please tell us. Email hello@thetaxcut.com with the subject line “Accessibility,” describe the problem and the page, and tell us the assistive technology you use. We take this seriously and will do our best to help and to fix the issue.
